Michael Garfias

Michael Garfias is a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with over 20 years of experience building and automating solid infrastructure. He keeps systems running smoothly with tools like Terraform, AWS, and Gitlab CI/CD, backed by a Certified Kubernetes Administrator credential. Mr. Garfias has worked in SRE positions at Apple, Securonix, and the Federal Reserve Bank of KC, managing Kubernetes clusters and deployment pipelines for AI/ML and cybersecurity. He also spent time at Sphere.com, a startup acquired by AOL in 2008, where he scaled ops from the ground up.

While at home in Oregon, Mr. Garfias is the family chef for his wife, four boys — two still at home — and their 10 White Swiss Shepherds. When he’s not troubleshooting tech, he’s wrenching on his Corvette or hammering out DIY home projects.
