Joseph Szabo joined Inveniam in 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in cybersecurity and data protection as the Director of Security and Infrastructure. In this role, Mr. Szabo is responsible for developing and executing cybersecurity strategies that align with Inveniam’s business objectives, overseeing the protection of sensitive data, and ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements.
With over 25 years of experience in the cybersecurity domain, Mr. Szabo has a proven track record of implementing robust security frameworks, mitigating cyber risks, and fostering a culture of security across organizations. Throughout his career, he has led security operations and risk management efforts at several leading companies, focusing on data protection, regulatory compliance, and incident response.
Before joining Inveniam, Mr. Szabo served as CISO/DPO at True Platform, where he developed and managed the company’s information security program, including policies, standards, and incident response plans. In this role, Mr. Szabo worked closely with cross-functional teams to implement secure network architectures and drive company-wide cybersecurity awareness. He was also pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulations such as SOC, ISO, GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Szabo held leadership positions at JP Morgan Chase and VWR, part of Avantor, where he directed IT security efforts, oversaw vulnerability assessments, and led initiatives to enhance security operations. His deep technical expertise and strategic approach to managing risk helped his organizations navigate complex security challenges while ensuring data privacy and compliance with global standards.
Mr. Szabo holds an Executive MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and has earned several certifications, including CISSP, CISM, and CDPO. He is passionate about developing secure environments and protecting organizations from evolving cybersecurity threats.
