Christos A. Polyzois, Ph.D. joined Inveniam in November 2021 as Managing Director of IP and Product Deployment, and was named Deputy CTO for IP and Innovation in September 2022. In this role, he is responsible for managing Inveniam’s IP portfolio and expanding the context in which Inveniam’s products are deployed.
Mr. Polyzois specializes in navigating market disruptions induced by technological innovations. He has held technical and business positions in the digital sector (databases, distributed systems, communications networks) and in the industrial sector (IoT, smart grid, energy), always bringing innovative, cutting-edge solutions to the market.
Mr. Polyzois brings significant experience in managing research portfolios, open innovation, partnerships and joint development agreements, complex deal structuring, and IP portfolio management (from patent prosecution to licensing to enforcement to portfolio sale). He has worked on multiple continents, and is now based in Bloomington, MN.
Mr. Polyzois holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the National Technical University of Athens, Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Princeton University and an MBA degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Palmer Scholar.
